Deviation Actions
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've been a user here since the 2nd of January in 2013. Odd time to start off, but eh.
2. What does your username mean?
That's actually quite the story. Years ago I had created the concept for a character that evolved from a mystical creature into the rodent it actually was (at that time I didn't know chinchillas were a thing). Up until now I've had numerous spiral notebooks filled with sketches of Oscar and his friends, making a hefty roster of enemies, locations, vehicles and potential stories; awaiting the day when I make a comic about his adventures in deep space.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Quiet, Friendly, Forgetful.
4. Are you left or right handed?
Ambidextrious, but my right hand usually gets more use out of things.
5. What was your first deviation?
This terrible picture right here.
At the time I was working with just a Polaroid camera. No stand, lighting wasn't in it's current place and the quality of the image was terrible and small. The characters shown here were either in their first versions or their first and last.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
I think some of my best work comes from my Bionicle MOCs, but a number of people out there might say my best is my modifications to the MMD FNAF models.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
More digital art stuff. Making stuff like thatwith a mouse is really, really hard.
8. What was your first favourite?
Matoro was my favorite Inika, and he felt like a good representation of the first generation of Bionicle. (Who knew it would come back after five yers? :3 )
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Either epic Bioncile material...
...or cute characters from fandoms I'm in.
*awaits the train of comments hating on FNAF to roll in*
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
That's almost like trying to ask me which of my children I don't shoot. (Luckily, I don't plan on having any kids) But I guess if I had to choose, it would probably be...
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Well, off the top of my head, commented on one of my earlier creations in the "Polarioid Era", giving feedback on a MOC that would eventually become his own original character. (Rega Nui has come to know that guy well, too...)
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Lego, PMX/PMD, FireAlpaca. 'Bout sums that up.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
If by that you mean "the location I go to for inspiration to create the artwork I make", then techncally right here in my room. A lot of other inspiration comes from movies, games and TV shows that I watch. (TV shows much less now, not many of them are even worth having cable for.)
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Hm... I really don't have a speific one I can remember offhand. Probably all the feedback this peice got prior to the Withered Packs dethroning it.
Apparently I'm supposed to tag this with #deviantartistquestionnaire , so I guess there's that.

Patreon Relaunch
I asked, the reception was more-or-less positive, so now I deliver. https://www.patreon.com/oscarthechinchilla Aside from a name change (that I will admit should've happened sooner) and a fresh appearance, there's now new tiers that will directly fund the creation of exclusive MMD (FNAF) models! (And a stretch goal that may be just as interesting if we somehow hit it.) Perhaps give it a look?
The Final Pack Updates are coming.
Okay, so to recap events sine I last properly posted: -Got a functioning laptop again (which is probably the only good thing I pulled out during that hellish 2 weeks in late September/ Early October) -Old files have been moved to some much beefier (and easier to assess) external storage -FNaF World XL's development is now completed for the year and I can take a proper break from that process As of right now, I'll be wrapping up work on some long overdue (and surprisingly hard to port) commissions. After that, it'll be time to put these misc packs to rest.
The Hard Part is coming.
Time for some major updates for content on the page. First up is the obvious bit of info that SB models will continue to be dropped as soon as I can get stuff prepped for it. Do have a priority list for characters (for now), so should be able to chip away on that on the side. The big things coming are some "slight" revamps to most of the FNaF models regarding bones that I didn't add prior. (Mainly because any animations I end up doing are ones I make myself, so the bones in question never come into play.) The fixes themselves shouldn't be hard in concept... but it'll just take ages to pull off considering my packs contain DOZENS of characters from across the franchise. If there are any bones that I should add for certain motions to work properly, please let me know ASAP before I actually get into this... because I do not intend to do a backpedal of this magnitude again. Packs that will receive these updates are the following: -FNaF SB Pack -FNaF 1-4 HW/SD Remastered Packs -HW
Oof. Just saw Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Short, spoiler free thoughts: It's very great, definitely worth watching if you're familiar with some of the films. ------------------ Longer form, spoiler thoughts: -------------------------- My god, this movie somehow fixed two Spider-Men in one go and let me reexperience the masterpiece that is the performances of Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, and especially Tobey Maguire as the Spidey I grew up with. Makes that wait between 2007 and now feel SO worth it. On top of that, this gave characters like Jamie Foxx's Electro and Andrew Garfield's Spidey a chance to shine in a way their original outings just weren't quite able to deliver on the first time around. (Thomas H Church's Sandman and Rhys Ifan's Lizard were also good, though their reuse of some old footage for certain scenes felt off if you can pick them out.) And in case all that nostalgic goodness wasn't enough, this movie fixed the biggest issue of Tom Holland's Spidey that started all the way back
